Blairagotchi: Skate Dog Venice Beach
A bulldog on a skateboard. It's not a trick. It's a lifestyle.
Your Blairagotchi is an English bulldog who learned to skateboard at Venice Beach. Not because anyone taught him — because he stepped on one and it moved and he decided that was his thing now. Five steps through a Venice afternoon where your dog is more famous than you, the boardwalk is a stage, and the only trick is staying out of the way while something beautiful happens on four wheels and four paws.

What Awaits You
Step 1: The Board
The boardwalk radiates heat. The concrete has been absorbing California sun since dawn and now it gives it back — warm through shoe soles, through paws. The air tastes like salt and coconut sunscreen and the vinegar-sweet tang of a churro cart somewhere upwind. A drum circle pulses two blocks south, felt more than heard.
The skateboard is a beat-up Santa Cruz with worn trucks and wheels that have been to the beach enough times to have sand permanently embedded in the bearings. It's sitting on the boardwalk. It's not moving.
Your Blairagotchi walks up to it. An English bulldog — forty-five pounds, low center of gravity, a face like a catcher's mitt that's been left in the sun. The bulldog's name, according to the collar, is Tank.
Tank sniffs the board. Tank puts one paw on the board. The board moves. Tank puts a second paw on the board. The board moves more. Tank's face does something — not surprise, not fear, something closer to recognition. Like a creature finding the thing it didn't know it was looking for.
Tank puts all four paws on the board.
The board rolls. Three feet, five feet, ten feet. Tank rides it with a stance so natural it looks rehearsed. Low, wide, paws gripping the grip tape, that enormous face pointing forward like a hood ornament.

A woman filming a yoga video on the grass stops mid-downward-dog. "Is that dog on a skateboard?"
It is. It's a dog on a skateboard. Venice Beach is unsurprised.
