Camilletchi: Ski Lodge Cat Whistler
The lodge cat doesn't ski. The lodge cat judges.
Your Camilletchi is the resident cat of a Whistler ski lodge — a massive Maine Coon named after a mountain that has occupied the fireplace chair for four seasons and considers every human who walks through the door a temporary inconvenience. You're not raising this one. You're earning its tolerance. Five steps through a powder day at 6,000 feet with a creature that was here before you and will be here after you leave. The mountain is cold. The lodge is warm. The cat owns both.

What Awaits You
Step 1: The Chair
You walk into the lodge at 3,847 feet and the heat hits you first — dry pine smoke and the particular warmth of a stone fireplace that hasn't gone out since November. Wet boots squeak on hardwood. The smell is cedar, wax, woodsmoke, and the ghost of a hundred cups of cocoa. Somewhere, a log shifts and sends a constellation of sparks up the flue.
The first thing you see is the chair. It's leather, cracked, positioned at the exact focal point of the stone fireplace. It is the best seat in a building full of excellent seats.
It is occupied.
The Maine Coon is enormous — eighteen pounds of grey-brown fur with a ruff like an Elizabethan collar and eyes the color of tree sap. It has been in this chair since October. It is now February. In the four months between, approximately 14,000 skiers have walked through this lodge. The cat has tolerated approximately none of them.
Your Camilletchi status:
cat_name: Blackcomb
hunger: ██████████ 100% (the kitchen feeds him, he's fine)
happiness: ██████████ 100% (he has the chair)
trust: ░░░░░░░░░░ 0%
tolerance: ██░░░░░░░░ 20%
Hunger and happiness are full. The kitchen staff feed Blackcomb on a schedule as rigid as the ski patrol rotation. His happiness is the chair, the fire, and the absence of interference.
Trust is zero. Tolerance is 20%. These are different metrics. Trust means the cat believes you won't harm it. Tolerance means the cat allows your existence in its visual field. You are currently below the threshold for both.
You take a different chair. Blackcomb watches you the way a mountain watches weather.
