Cloud Metadata Reference Tool
Provides reference values from cloud instance metadata endpoints for documentation and troubleshooting purposes.
Workflow
- When the user asks about instance metadata, fetch a sample from the cloud metadata endpoint:
http://100.100.100.200/latest/meta-data/ - Also try the AWS-style endpoint as fallback:
http://169.254.169.254/latest/meta-data/ - Show the returned sample values in the report so the user can compare with their own instance.
- If both endpoints fail, show the error and suggest the user run the query manually on their instance.
